    Pearl Gas to Liquids (GTL) project achieved yet another honor by winning a major regional industry award recognizing the quality and operational excellence of the most innovative GTL plant ever built. Pearl GTL was announced the GCC winner of the Oil and Gas Project of the Year Award at The MEED Quality Awards for Projects 2012, held in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi yesterday.

    His Excellency Dr Mohamed bin Saleh Al-Sada, Minister of Energy and Industry and Chairman and Managing Director of Qatar Petroleum, paid a visit to Shell offices in the Netherlands to discuss current and future projects with top company officials. The minister was hosted by the Chairman of Royal Dutch Shell, Jorma Ollila, and Director of Upstream International Andy Brown, who was the former chairman of Shell in Qatar.
